Maintenance & Advice

Our expert staff will inspect your installation and will draw up a report with recommendations that will be submitted to you for your assessment. This will show which issues fall under regular maintenance that can be carried out during updating work and which may optimise the machine. This last issue can be further investigated based on the current situation and your preference. Various maintenance contracts are possible for regular maintenance work.

Our fault-clearing service awaits your call 24-hours a day!

MAINTENANCE & ADVICE
UPDATING
OPTIMALISATION
Below we provide a number of components that may be relevant during regular maintenance.

1. Spirofil Spiral belts

Spirofil was the first to start using a spiral dewatering belt in 1992 that has extremely good dewatering properties and is very suitable, after a few innovative applications, for filter belt presses and dewatering tables. This a new type of belt is very stable and can be set up endlessly.

The introduction of this special spiral belt has lead to a revolutionary switch from woven belts to spiral belts in the Netherlands, Belgium and Europe in general. Spiral belts combine a high strength with good water permeability, they are stable with regard to heat and air humidity and they have a long service life.

Spirofil spiral belts are made of special first quality monofilaments in 100% polyester. Every Spirofil spiral belt is heat-set granting a high degree of stability and long running life.

Advantages of spiral belts are among others: strength, flat surface, good air permeability, stable property against heat and moisture, low thermal shrinking, less elongation at heat and a long lifespan.

Spiral belts are connected spirals by use of cross wires. The spirals contain filling wires, through which the open area is determined.

Features & benefits of spiral belts:

- High Strength, high resistance against abrasion
- Stable under high tension
- Seamless - the seam has exactly the same strength of the belt
- Can be repaired easily
- Dimensions can be altered on the spot (the belt does not need exact dimensions)
- Durability, smoothness and good dirt release
- Filled or unfilled to achieve different filtration characteristics
(air permeability: 250 to over 1000 CFM*)
- Sealed edges for lasting, economical solutions
- Widths: up to 6 linear m
- Standard lengths to 60-80 m
- pH operating range: 2 to 8

Spriofil supplies the suitable spiral belt for every type of dewatering. Most applications can be delivered based on spiral belts of our standard program. Herebelow you can find an overview of commonly applied types.

2. Spirofil Woven Belts

Woven mesh belts have a broad field of application. Spirofil often uses them outside the working area of a spiral belt. This will depend on the fineness of the sludge (the wet residue), the used flocculant, etc.
Woven mesh belts combine a high filtration degree with very high strength properties.

3. Spirofil Filter Cloth

Spirofil supplies a range of synthetic woven cloth for chamber filter presses. The delivery line is suitable for most situations for which a chamber filter press is used.
A few examples are: filtering cloth for a membrane plate with or without an edge finish and/or stiffeners, that is, backcloth for drainage, etc.

4. Wear Parts

Parts that are subject to wear used in various installations are critical factors to allow dewatering and drying processes to function optimally.
The following are examples of the above: spiral belts, woven belts, chicanes, scrapers, support strips, roller linings, bearings, cloth, guides, rubbers, cylinders, spraying lances and nozzles, etc.

5. Hydraulic, Pneumatic & PLC Technology

Industrial pneumatic/hydraulic and PLC technologies are used for driving mechanical components or controlling the installations.  A sound knowledge of pneumatic and electropneumatic technologies is required in order to design, build and maintain pneumatic installations to ensure we can guarantee a long service life and the fast installation of systems.
