Optimalisation

"If your dewatering installation does not operate optimally, this may lead to excessive / not optimal sludge production (sludge is the wet residue produced during wastewater treatment)."

MAINTENANCE & ADVICE
UPDATING
OPTIMALISATION
We are able to analyse your wastewater treatment process (if required, as a supplement to the inspection that can take place during regular maintenance) and determine whether improvements are possible. This means that your dewatering installation can be optimised and the costs related to sludge dewatering and processing can subsequently be better controlled.

Below we provide a few specific examples of adjustments to your (existing) installation that may directly result in efficiency improvements.

1. Spirospuit®

If a spiral belt or woven belt is used under normal conditions, contamination will be minimal and it will be kept clean appropriately by the system present on an installation. If a change in the sludge composition occurs and dirt starts to accumulate in the pores of the belt, this will not be cleaned by this conventional system.
Spirofil has developed a suitable solution that does not require that the existing machine be adjusted: the Spirospuit®.

The Spirospuit® is engineered and delivered as a customisation.

1. Inline Mixer

The quality of the sludge will depend on a large number of factors. A determining factor is the optimal mixing of sludge and polymer. Spirofil has developed a mixer that makes this possible. This Inline Mixer will provide a dilution water consumption reduction that can even be as high as 90%. The savings made with regard to the polyelectrolyte dose can even be as high as 25%!

The mixer can be fitting into an existing pipe system, can be quickly installed and is universally deployable for thickening sludge flows by using a filter belt press, chamber filter press or centrifuge to name but three examples.
